What I was proud of

• Jumping into a role I wasn’t experienced in — data science, and directly customer-facing
• Learning SQL (pre-AI!)
• Climbing the rickety rope stairs to get onto a cargo ship
• Climbing on top of a roof in Iowa to install a Starlink dish adapter I designed

What I learned

• SQL! It’s really not that bad
• How to be efficient and extremely metrics-oriented with my work
• How to constantly keep simplifying things down to one number
• How to communicate with customers to figure out what they actually need, not what they’re asking for

• Driving a K-truck around the Starlink campus in Seattle
• Mentoring two incredibly smart interns
• Working with incredibly smart and nice engineers
