Characterize user-interfacing performance for all Square Point-of-Sale devices through each build cycle (Proto, EVT, DVT).

Directly responsible for Audio and WLAN — metric creation, test bed creation, test execution, analysis, and communication.

Highlights

• Designed a light-isolated 80/20 test fixture to hold a display camera a fixed distance from Square devices.
• Designed a simple acrylic fixture for early development builds to hold PCBAs and sensors — used by the SW and EE teams.
• Designed a hot-swappable fixture to hold all Square devices on a touchscreen tester robot.
• Set up from scratch a WLAN conducted non-signaling test station to validate WLAN performance at the physical layer.
• Set up from scratch an Audio Test Lab room, qualified with RT60 and noise floor measurements.
• Supported factory operations during build cycles in China, Malaysia.
